Ume Aoki (蒼樹 うめ Aoki Ume?, born August 3) is a female Japanese manga artist from Hyōgo Prefecture. She also illustrates under the pen-names Apply Fujimiya, for the visual novel Sanarara (Nekoneko Soft) and Apricot+ for various doujinshi she makes. She officially romanizes her name as aokiume. [2][3][4][5] She also provides the voice for her 'metapod' persona in the anime version of Hidamari Sketch. Aoki also provided the original character designs for the anime production, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, developed by Shaft.[6]

Works

Manga Time Kirara announced that a new manga series by Aoki has been green-lit, which will run in a new sister magazine, Manga Time Kirara Carino, which will launch on January 27, 2012.[10] More details are expected to be released in early 2012.[11]
